Dr Dawn England is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham’s School of Education. Formerly, she headed the Dubai Education Department at Birmingham University Dubai and led the MA Education (Leadership) program in Dubai. Her research focuses on global educational barriers, particularly related to gender, parental beliefs, and peer experiences.
She has worked in 17 countries across 4 continents and received the US National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for her international work on gender development’s impact on education. She’s dedicated to promoting transnational education, emphasizing educational leadership and social justice.
